We traded attention for access. Everything, instantly, everywhere.
And somewhere in that trade, the act of sitting down in front of something — properly, with the lights low and the phone in another room — quietly slipped out of the week. Not lost. Just crowded out.
A living room has a dozen jobs to do, and listening is rarely the one it was arranged around. That's true of ours as much as yours. So we kept a room back, and gave it nothing else to do.
The Room

We only ever book one session at a time, so for that hour the room is yours and nobody else's. There are two ways to use it.

Bring the record you know best — the one you've heard four hundred times and could hum in your sleep. That's when the difference shows. Vinyl, streaming, or whatever you arrive with.

The cinema experience
The opening twenty minutes of something you already know by heart, at a scale and a volume your living room will never allow. Bring the film. We'll take care of the dark.
Nothing about it is a presentation.
You'll be in the room for about an hour. Here's the shape of it, so there are no surprises.
Before — We ask what you'll put on first
One question when you book. It tells us more than any brief could, and it means the room is set for you before you walk in.
00:00 — You sit down. We don't hover
Seating, levels and source are already arranged. There's a drink if you want one.
00:05 — Then we stop talking
Your record, or your opening scene, start to finish. Nobody narrates it. This is the part that most people remember.
After — You decide what happens next
Another record. A conversation about your house. Or nothing at all — leaving having simply listened to something properly is a perfectly good outcome, and it happens often.

What it costs — Nothing. There's no charge for the room and no obligation attached to it.
What we'll ask of you — An hour, and something you'd like to hear. That's the whole of it.
What won't happen — No presentation, no quote at the end, and nothing you have to decide on the day.
